The Family Network
In the Family Network, families with children have the opportunity to enjoy themselves and get a break from everyday life, while at the same time they can form relationships with other families with children.
Please note!
The waiting list for the Family Network is unfortunately too long and it is therefore not possible to become part of a Family Network at this time.
Registration will open when there is space again in one of our networks.
The family network is an offer for your family that misses a social network and a respite from everyday life. In the family network, your family will have the opportunity to meet with other families with children for a meal together once a month. At the meal together, there is an opportunity to have fun as a family, but also to form a network with other families.

If becoming part of a family network sounds like something for you and your family, you can read more about it below.
What can I expect?
In the family network, your family will have the opportunity to meet with other families with children for a meal together once a month. At the meal together, there is an opportunity to have fun as a family, but also to network with other families.
There is a team of volunteers who set the framework for the meal and who plan activities that suit the needs and wishes of you and the other families. For example, we carve pumpkins for Halloween, make Easter decorations and play games. The volunteers are present and have the time and desire to be with you and your family.
On the last Saturday of the month, families across our 6 family networks go on an excursion to, for example, the Zoo, a swimming pool, the ice rink or a fun playground. It is free for everyone to join the Family Network and the trips.
What is expected of me?
The only thing expected is that you and your family want to meet other families and have a good time.
How do I get started?
Registration for a family network is currently closed due to a long waiting list, but otherwise you can register here on the page.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
Would you like to volunteer in a family network and help plan activities for the families in the network?
Read more below.
What can I expect?
As a volunteer in the Family Network, you will have a great impact on families with children with limited social networks. Through communal meals, you and a team of volunteers will have the opportunity to support vulnerable families with children by being present, listening and planning activities that suit the families' wishes and needs.
What is expected of me?
The activities in the family networks can involve everything from various games, cut-and-paste for Easter and Christmas, and carving pumpkins for Halloween. By contributing to creating cozy settings and experiences for the families, you can help improve the well-being and living conditions for both parents and children.
As a volunteer, you will be responsible for shopping and cooking, as well as activities before and after the shared meal.
How do I get started?
There are currently six Family Networks in the Danish Red Cross Capital, and the six Family Networks each meet for a meal and socializing once a month. If you have the energy to support families and the time to participate in the network's activities once a month, we would love to hear from you.
