Safety call
Safety calls are aimed at those who live alone or have a limited social network.
To reduce the elderly's fear of falling, being injured in some other way, or having passed away without anyone noticing, we offer a daily reassurance call.
RECEIVE CALL
Through Safety Calls, we would like to create security for those of you who are 65+, live alone and have a limited network.
Safety calls are relevant for those who are 65+, live alone, have a limited social network and do not receive daily home care.
When you agree to a safety call, it means that you will be called every day by a volunteer to make sure you are doing well. The call is quite short, between 1-3 minutes, but it can help to create security and calm.
If the phone rings in vain one day, the volunteer contacts a hotline, after which action is taken immediately.
We will have agreed in advance whether we should contact any family or friends, social centers, home care or other places that we know have access to your home. In extreme cases, the police will be called, who will come with a locksmith to check on you.
Click “RECEIVE SAFETY CALL” below and fill out the form and we will contact you to discuss further about receiving safety calls.
BECOME A VOLUNTEER
NOTE! We are not currently short of volunteers. You are welcome to contact us and get on the waiting list.
In just ten minutes a day, you can help create security for a group of lonely seniors by volunteering at Tryghedsopkald.
As a volunteer in Tryghedsopkald, you call the same group of citizens every morning or afternoon to make sure they are well. Each call lasts between 1-3 minutes. You are part of a team of 4-5 other volunteers and you take turns calling the same group of citizens, one week at a time.
It is also possible to volunteer in the Safety Call by manning the emergency telephone, which is the safety function that ensures that we always reach the elderly if the regular safety callers cannot reach their call recipients one day.
You do not need any special education or background to become a volunteer at Tryghedsopkalf. However, you do need to be able to call the call recipients at the same time every day of the week, or that you work 1-2 shifts per month at the emergency phone.
As a volunteer at Tryghedsopkald, you will have meaningful volunteer work that you can do wherever suits you. You will create security and peace of mind for a group of older people.
A short call means more than you can imagine.
