Well underway is an offer for formerly homeless women from the Red Cross's Hostel in Hvidovre, who are moving from the hostel to their own home. Many of these women are in a difficult life situation and often lack a social network to lean on. The women often need both human and practical support, and through one-on-one or two-on-two contact, presence, and shared experiences, volunteers give the women the ballast to move on in life.

The purpose of Godt på vej is to reduce loneliness and vulnerability for women by supporting them in the transition from homelessness to their own home.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Good on the Road consists of three different initiatives. Read more about them here.
As a volunteer, you must show openness, respect and empathy towards the women. It is important that you meet them on their terms and are able to create a safe space where they feel comfortable asking for both social and practical help. You must be present, accommodating and robust, able to listen and feel comfortable with experiencing the vulnerability of other women. Through courses and meetings with the volunteer leaders and other volunteers, you will be well prepared for the role, regardless of which of the three initiatives you want to be a part of as a volunteer.
In addition, you must stand for our purposes and values, and meet the woman on her terms.
