We are ready to support and advise you if you have been affected by a violent incident. Our advice is anonymous, free and available 24 hours a day.
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
The Red Cross Capital Victims' Advice Centre helps victims, witnesses and relatives after violent and shocking experiences. The offer also applies if you are a witness or relative of a victim.

WHO ARE WE?
The counselors are volunteers, but professionally trained to advise and help you through a crisis, shock and other challenges after a serious life event.
When you contact us, you will meet a counselor who is ready to listen and understand your unique situation. Our goal is to provide you with the support and guidance you need, whether you are a victim, witness or relative. We understand that every situation is different, which is why we tailor our counseling to your specific needs.
Every counselor at our firm is driven by deep empathy and understanding of the challenges you face. We don't judge you, and we understand that reaching out for help can be difficult. Our job is to stand by your side, support you in your process, and ensure that you get the help you need to move forward. We meet you with respect and compassion, because we know that this is the foundation for helping you in the best possible way.
All counseling in the Victim Counseling Center is provided by volunteer victim counselors who are trained in crisis counseling and have experience in counseling victims, witnesses and relatives.
We equip our volunteer victim counselors for the task through courses in, for example, crisis assistance and shock management.
The basic training as a victim counselor is almost 100 hours and there is also mandatory continuing education once a year.
Our volunteer victim advisors can also go with you to the police or support you if you have to go to court as a victim, witness or relative.

In Victim Counseling, you undergo thorough training before becoming a counselor, and you are updated professionally every year through theme days and further education. As a victim counselor, you become part of a large community and you get voluntary, social work that makes a difference every time you counsel a victim, a relative or a witness.
