Course description
A thorough introduction to the four main rules of first aid based on theoretical review and practical exercises.
Purpose
The purpose of the Basic First Aid Course is for the student to learn to:
- Handling an adult unconscious person with or without normal breathing
- Provide first aid to someone who has suffered an airway obstruction.
- Using an AED (AED)
- Know the difference between a blood clot in the heart or brain (stroke).
Practical exercises
- Using a defibrillator
- Resuscitation
- Stable lateral position

Competences
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Assessing an injured person's condition
- Call for help
- Handling an unconscious person
- Perform basic resuscitation
- Using an AED (AED)
- Recognize symptoms and differences between blood clots in the heart and brain (stroke)
- Provide first aid for foreign bodies in the respiratory tract.
Bevis
A course certificate is issued by the Danish First Aid Council, which complies with the guidelines from the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
Number of participants
Up to 16 participants.
Duration
The course lasts 4 hours.
Price
406 DKK per person for 16 participants. The price excludes VAT.
