The whole package

Course description

Our longest first aid course, where over two course days you alternate between theory and practical exercises.

The course covers all aspects of physical and mental first aid with plenty of time for review and practical exercises.

The entire package has the same content as the Extended Course, but is approved for employees with special responsibilities.

Purpose

The purpose of the Whole Package is for the student to learn to:

  • Act based on the four main points of first aid in connection with first aid and cardiac arrest situations.
  • Act appropriately in the event of accidents that are or could develop into life-threatening situations
  • Establish safety and assess the injured person's condition
  • Call for help and receive and act on advice and guidance via the regions' emergency telephone numbers.
  • Provide psychological first aid on site
  • Provide first aid for minor acute injuries, including injuries to the musculoskeletal system,
  • Provide first aid for acute illnesses and be prepared to respond appropriately to the injured person's condition.

Practical exercises

  • Using a defibrillator
  • Resuscitation
  • Stable lateral position
  • Emergency relocation
  • First aid for foreign bodies in the airway of an adult
  • Symptoms of blood clots in the heart and brain and the concepts of stroke and apoplexy
  • To create safety in the event of, for example: electrical accidents, traffic accidents, drowning accidents, strangulation, well and silo accidents, accidents with machinery and fire
  • Burns, poisoning and corrosion caused by inhalation, ingestion, splashes in the eyes and/or skin contact
  • Musculoskeletal injuries, broken bones, dislocated joints, sprains, fractures of the hip and/or pelvis
  • First aid for head injuries, concussions, open and closed skull fractures, bleeding between the brain and skull
  • First aid for massive bleeding, internal bleeding and other bleeding. Prevention of circulatory failure. Use of the tourniquet
  • First aid for minor injuries such as foreign bodies, tooth injuries, nosebleeds, minor burns, abrasions and the like.
  • Acute illnesses
  • Life-threatening bleeding.

Competences

After the course, participants will be able to:

  • Call for help
  • Handling an unconscious person
  • Perform basic resuscitation
  • Using an AED (AED)
  • Recognize symptoms and various diseases including blood clots in the heart and brain (stroke), epilepsy and diabetes
  • Provide first aid for foreign bodies in the airways
  • Provide first aid in case of accidents
  • Provide first aid for acute illnesses
  • Provide first aid for major and minor bleeding
  • Provide first aid for musculoskeletal injuries, including fractures and sprains
  • Provide first aid for burns and scalds
  • Provide first aid for head injuries
  • Perform psychological first aid.

Bevis

A course certificate is issued by the Danish First Aid Council, which complies with the guidelines from the European Resuscitation Council (ERC).

Fulfillment of requirements

This course is approved in connection with the training of drivers and of persons with special responsibilities in, for example, the Army and Navy.

Number of participants

Up to 16 participants.

Duration

The course lasts 12 hours and is held over two days.

810 DKK per person for 16 participants. The price excludes VAT.
