All courses can be held in English with English-language materials.

We offer first aid courses for different needs and prices. Our cheapest course is priced at DKK 406 per person, while our most comprehensive course, which spans two teaching days, is priced at DKK 810 per person. Does the price change if the lessons take place in the evening or on weekends?
No, the price is the same regardless of whether your first aid course is held early morning, evening or weekend.
Does the price change if the teaching and materials are to be in English?
No, the price is the same regardless of whether your first aid course is held in Danish or English.
Can the lessons take place outdoors?
Yes, we are happy to teach outdoors at all locations. Even in rainy weather.
What materials are provided and what is used in the teaching?
For courses of 4, 5½, 7 and 12 hours duration, booklets and books are provided, which are used in the teaching, and which the participants may take home. After completing the course, certificates of participation are ordered. These certificates can be renewed up to 2 years after the course date.
What languages are taught in? And are the materials translated?
As a rule, the courses are held in Danish or English, and all materials used are in the chosen language.
Can the course take place throughout Denmark?
Yes, with the Red Cross' 208 local branches we cover all postal codes on the map of Denmark. Red Cross Capital offers first aid courses in the capital area. If you are looking for Red Cross first aid courses in the rest of Denmark, you can find them at redcross.dk.
How long is a first aid certificate valid for? And can it be renewed?
A first aid certificate is valid for two years and can be renewed within two years of the first course. Exceptions to this are traffic-related courses for driving licenses, which are valid for one year.
Can you use your own heart rate monitor in teaching?
Yes, we are happy to demonstrate your own defibrillators during the training.
Can you buy a defibrillator and first aid kit from the Red Cross?
Yes, please ask, we always have offers with the best prices on the market for relevant first aid materials.
What education and background do the first aid instructors have?
All Red Cross instructors are trained and examined according to the Danish First Aid Council's highest requirements, and the instructors are continuously trained in updated methods and renewed requirements.
