Become a leader in "From Home to Home" and help abused women and children
Do you have a passion for working with volunteers? And do you want to make a significant difference for women and children who have been victims of violence? Then this volunteer leadership job might be just for you!
Become part of our effort "From Home to Home", where we support women and children exposed to violence to create safe and stable homes after their time in a shelter. These families are often left without furniture, networks and funds after going through a chaotic period in their lives. It can be overwhelming to rebuild a safe and well-functioning home during this time, which has a major impact on the family's everyday life and well-being.
As a volunteer leader in "Fra Bolig Til Hjem" you will help develop the activity, lead and inspire committed volunteers and support the women on their path to a better life. You will be part of a great team of activity leaders, and the position is very flexible.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Screen new volunteers and conduct volunteer interviews over the phone
- Have the initial conversation with the women to uncover their needs and screen their safety
- Find the right match between volunteers and women, follow their progress and provide support along the way
- Participate in meetings with the other leaders approximately every 6 weeks and contribute to the development of the effort
Why become an activity leader?
- You make a huge difference for women and children who have been in violent relationships and who have lived in shelters.
- You will work with a lot of cool and committed volunteers
- You will be part of a strong team of volunteer leaders where we have fun together
- The volunteer job is very flexible and can be planned to fit into your everyday life.

We are looking for you who…
- Is a people person who is good at seeing the perfect match between a volunteer and a woman
- Enjoys picking up the phone and talking to new people
- Would like to make a concrete and very visible difference for women and children
- Works in a structured manner and is good at keeping an overview
What is expected of you?
- That you can dedicate approximately 5 hours per week.
- That you can participate in management meetings approximately every 6 weeks. In addition, we meet on the last Wednesday of the month and work together.
- The volunteer leaders also meet regularly in the afternoon, e.g. on Tuesday or Wednesday, to work together and have fun, which can be a good opportunity.
