RED CROSS

We receive many great donations every day in our thrift store at Tuborgvej 245, at the top of Bispebjerg.

Preparation and presentation are a big part of the volunteer effort in recycling. Every day we create a beautiful store universe where the goods are ready for sale when our sweet customers stop by.

Every day, thousands of good recycled finds are sold to happy customers, who in this way both support the Red Cross' work and purpose and at the same time take care of the planet's resources.

The store has a wide range, so there is something for everyone.

Right now we especially need active volunteers for the following tasks:

• SORTING AND PREPARING CLOTHES

Clothing sales are our largest product area and also where we receive the most donations. Before the clothes are sold in the store, we review the quality and prepare each piece of clothing. We have a wide selection in all categories for both women, men and children of all ages.

• REVIEW AND COARSE SORTING OF RECEIVED DONATIONS

Here, help is needed to sort all donations received into categories, so that it is clear to prepare and price the goods in the individual product areas, so that the store is always filled with good goods and the donation area is tidy.

• CASHIER

All our customers should have a good experience when they come to our store. That's why we also need more people who can operate the cash register and ensure that we provide good customer service and that we can keep the store open every day. We prefer if you also want to participate in other tasks in the store.

We imagine that you would like to come on duty 1-2 times per week. Approximately 4-5 hours per time. The store is open every day, Monday to Saturday.

We will of course provide a good introduction to the tasks.

As a new volunteer, we dream that you are:

Healthy, stable and physically active, as this is a prerequisite for being able to participate in the work community with sorting and presentation. That you are good at collaborating and are motivated by solving tasks together with others. Can have a good time while getting something done.

It would be an advantage if you have a “nose” for vintage gold and follow current trends so that we can ensure the best finds for our many customers every day. Otherwise, you will learn along the way.

Meaningful volunteer work: As a volunteer in Red Cross Recycling, you help raise funds for all the social projects that take place in the Red Cross Capital. This could be, for example, victim counseling, efforts for the homeless, communities for the elderly, and much more. It is help that can be felt where it is needed most.
