RED CROSS

We receive many great donations every day in our large thrift store at Roskildevej 150.

 Preparation and presentation are a large part of our volunteer efforts to create a beautiful store universe where the goods are ready for sale when our sweet customers stop by.

 Every day, thousands of good recycled finds are sold to happy customers, who in this way both support the Red Cross' work and purpose and take care of the planet's resources.

The store has 2 floors filled with everything from books to sofas.

Right now we especially need active volunteers for the following tasks:

• FURNITURE

Our large furniture department needs help with preparation, presentation and pricing. Furniture sales are an important part of the store's revenue and when we spend time presenting the furniture beautifully, we can sell even more of what we receive.

• GALLERY, ELECTRONICS and LIGHTING

Help is needed to sort, prepare and price donations. It is an advantage if you have knowledge and interest in one or more of the product groups and want to help ensure the best value for the Red Cross' work.

• HELP MOVE DONATIONS AROUND THE STORE

To have an attractive store, we need help moving furniture and other home accessories into the store's beautiful window displays. This attracts more customers to our store. It is important that you have the courage to be physically active and collaborate with different teams in the store.

As a new volunteer, we dream that you are:

Healthy, stable and physically active, as this is a prerequisite for being able to participate in the work community with sales, sorting and presentation of all the good goods. That you are good at collaborating and are motivated to solve tasks together with others. Can have a good time while getting something done.

It would be an advantage if you have a "nose" for repurposed gold and keep up with current trends so that we can ensure the best finds for our many customers every day.

We imagine that you would like to be on call 1-2 times per week for 3-5 hours each time.

Meaningful volunteer work: As a volunteer in Red Cross Recycling, you help raise funds for all the social projects that take place in the Red Cross Capital. This could be, for example, victim counseling, efforts for the homeless, communities for the elderly, and much more. It is help that can be felt where it is needed most.
