Become a Corporate Volunteer at the Danish Red Cross
Give your next team day a meaningful purpose. As a company, you can contribute with a volunteer day where you together make a concrete difference for vulnerable people in Copenhagen and globally. At the same time, you strengthen the team spirit through a meaningful project that makes a real difference. We know this because we have already coordinated hundreds of volunteer days – and companies choose to come again and again.

On this page you can read more about the framework for the day, types of tasks and the price for a volunteer day.

How to get started

Once you have completed the form below, our Corporate Volunteering Coordinator will contact you. You will submit a few possible dates and we will then coordinate with our stores to find the day and location where your help is most needed.

Once the day has been set, you will receive an email with all the practical details and contact information for the store manager, whom you can reach out to if you have any questions.

After the day, we would really like to hear about your experience and will therefore send you a short evaluation.

  • We organize a fun and meaningful team day with concrete tasks where you really make a difference.

  • We have extensive experience with company days and many positive evaluations from teams who return year after year.

  • Insight into the Red Cross's work locally: Before you start your tasks, you will receive a brief presentation about our local efforts and the impact you help create for people in vulnerable situations.

  • By agreement, we can mention your participation and support on our social media.

  • We can issue donation certificates.

  • Typical tasks may be sorting and preparing donations, price marking of clothes and furniture for thrift stores, organization, tidying up, cleaning and setting up in thrift stores, etc.

  • On the day, you will be welcomed by someone from the store who will talk about the Red Cross' local efforts and the difference that recycling makes.
  • This person will introduce you to the day's tasks and will be available to help and answer questions.
  • We can accommodate 3–15 employees in one store. In most cases, we can also arrange multiple teams in multiple stores on the same day.
  • A typical volunteer day lasts from 10:00 AM–3:00 PM.
  • There will be coffee and tea along the way. You must bring your own lunch.
  • If you wish, we are happy to take photos along the way and share your participation and support on our social media - so more people can see the difference you are making.

What does it cost?

We greatly appreciate the help we receive through our corporate volunteering agreements. However, planning and coordinating volunteer days requires time and resources from our employees, and our paid resources are tightly funded.

That's why we ask our corporate volunteering partners for a annual donation, which depends on the size of the company and expected participation. The donation enables us to allocate the necessary resources to plan and support your volunteer days – while freeing up time to solve other important tasks in our social efforts.

The size of the donation does not change, no matter how many times you use the option during the year.

We also offer the possibility of a single donation, if you would like to try a volunteer day before signing up for a one-year membership.

We are very grateful for donations as part of the collaboration. In this way, you not only contribute with your time, but also strengthen our overall efforts for people in vulnerable life situations.

The donation can be handled as a regular invoice or as a support contribution, where we can send a donation receipt.

WHAT OTHERS SAY

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to be together as a team in a new way and at the same time make a difference. It strengthens our collaboration and gives us new perspectives.”

Anders Jorgensen, Danske Bank

"We partner with the Red Cross because they have the right framework and reach to help us make a real difference for people in Denmark. The Red Cross has a unique connection to those who, for various reasons, struggle to make ends meet. When we combine their local presence with our resources and experience in reducing food waste, we can ensure that good food reaches people who need it. It is a collaboration that creates value all the way around, both socially and environmentally."

Ken Vanhoegaerden, TooGooToGo

“I wanted to share the feedback that they had a really lovely day and said they would encourage all their colleagues to participate in a similar day in the future!”

Johanne Qvortrup, Hugo Boss
