Red Cross Capital

Every contribution makes a local difference

In our work to create meaningful communities for several of the Capital's vulnerable groups, even smaller donations and contributions can make a big difference to how much and how the individual activity or project can support and contribute to the positive development of the individual person.

When you contribute to our work, you can choose to support a specific project that we have selected. DIt could be something smaller, such as a new oven for our network house in Nørrebro or a cargo bike for our care center for the homeless on Amager – or it could be something bigger, such as a new bus for the Tour Service for seniors.

You can also choose to contribute more broadly to the work with one of the target groups in Copenhagen and the surrounding area for whom we work to improve the living conditions. The four groups are: Seniors, mentally vulnerable adults, vulnerable and financially needy families with children, and the homeless.

Support our work with specific target groups

Does your company have a special cause that you would like to support?

As a company, you can either donate an amount to our general social work or set up a fundraiser that raises money for a very specific activity, purpose or target group. For example, if you have a cause that you are passionate about as a company, we can help you set up a fundraiser that supports that very cause.

Contact Organization Manager Thomas Mølgaard Andersen on tel. 28442986 for more information or send us an email with your wishes and needs to rkh.csr@rodekors.dk

Tax deduction for donations

As a company, you have the opportunity to receive a tax deduction for donations to the Danish Red Cross. In 2026, you can obtain a deduction for donations of up to 20.000 kr.

We can report your donations to SKAT via your CVR number. To ensure the deduction, you must provide your CVR number.

OUR ECONOMY

Our work is built on a foundation of local commitment from volunteers, members and partners. The majority of our income comes from sales in thrift stores (40%) and funds from foundations and pools (38%). The money is mainly spent on local social initiatives (50%), which make a direct difference to people in vulnerable situations in the capital area. In addition, some of the money goes to operating our sources of income, such as store costs (28%) and first aid courses (8%).

Our priority is always to ensure that as many funds as possible go to help where the need is greatest locally.

To ensure transparency, please read our annual report and accounts here.
