OBS! WE NEED VOLUNTEERS ON NØRREBRO

We have started offering bicycle training on Nørrebro and therefore need volunteers. If this sounds like something for you, then click on the button below to read more.

The bicycle is an ideal mode of transportation when getting around Copenhagen. However, not many cultures share the same tradition of cycling as the Danish, and therefore, Red Cross Copenhagen offers bicycle training for adults who want to learn how to ride a bike or improve their skills.

PARTICIPATE

cykler

Do you want to learn how to bike or would you like to get better at it?

Read more about the bicyle training below.

As a participant, your lessons will take place in a safe enclosed area before you venture out into traffic. You will also learn traffic rules and how to maintain a bike. There is, of course, time for cozy coffee breaks where you can exchange experiences.

The bicycle course is free, and we provide bicycles and helmets, so you just need to show up. Remember to wear practical clothing and shoes.

As a participant, we don’t expect anything of you.

Do, however, remember clothes tha fit the weather as the lessons take place outside.

No registration is required to participate in the lessons 🙂

You can see when and where the lessons take place beflow.

VOLUNTEER

omverdenen

As a volunteer, you will teach balance, maneuverability, bicycling in traffic, traffic rules and basic bicycle maintenance.

Bicyle training takes place from March to October with a break in the middle of summer. Read more below.

You will be assigned to a volunteer group in a specific area, so you show up at the same place each time, and you are welcome to sign up with a friend or family member.

The prerequisites for being a volunteer are that you can ride a bike, know the traffic rules, have an interest in communicating and have a good amount of patience. You do not need any specific professional background, but it is an advantage if you are pedagogically minded.

Bicycle training is free of charge and is offered at various locations, 2 hours each weekend. The lessons take place from March to October with a shortbreak during the summer holidays.

As a volunteer, you typically teach together with 4-5 other volunteer bicycle coaches.
