The Red Cross Samaritan volunteers

Copenhagens Samaritan Corps is a samaritan group that’s been around for 110 years as a part of the Red Cross. We provide assistance in the municipalities of Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Tårnby and Dragør, and we collaborate with other divisions across Denmark, for events such as the Roskilde Festival and Bakken. Our members come from various backgrounds and walks of life but share a common interest in first aid.

A Red Cross Samaritan receives extensive first aid training and volunteers to help participants and spectators at various types of events in Denmark. Besides the on-duty work, there is also equipment preparation, and we have garage evenings and packing days. Additionally, we maintain our skills through monthly training and practice sessions.

What do we do?

Red Cross Samaritans, participate in many of the Copenhagen’s sports events, concerts, and other gatherings where they provide qualified first aid to the participants. We have our own instructors, teaching materials, and training to maintain a consistent and high standard in our work.

Furthermore, the Copenhagen Samaritan Corps is also a social association where members can get together outside of their shifts.

We currently do not accept English-speaking voluneteers for this activity
