The Red Cross Shelter for Women
We offer homeless women a temporary place to stay. Our dedicated volunteers make a tremendous effort to create a safe and active daily life for these women.
ABOUT THE RED CROSS SHELTER FOR WOMEN
The Red Cross Shelter for Women is a self-owned institution with an operating agreement with Den Sociale Virksomhed, Region Hovedstaden (The Social Organization, Capital Region).
The shelter operates under § 110 of Serviceloven (The Service Act). The shelter has 27 overnight beds, including 8 for young individuals aged 18-30.
There is no requirement for a referral or recommendation from the mincipality to secure a place at the shelter. You can contact us directly by calling and inquire about an available bed.
If there are available beds, you will have an assessment interview to determine if you fit the shelter’s target group.
We currently do not accept English-speaking volunteers for this activty
