Visiting service
Loneliness can affect anyone. The visiting service is for those aged 65 and older who want to enjoy the company of a volunteer visitor once a week.
Loneliness can happen for various reasons. Maybe your family is far away or passed away, maybe it’s challenging to get out due to a disability, or maybe you find it hard to connect with others. It’s comforting to have someone to chat with or shares your interest in books, movies, or music.
Visiting friends meet for a cozy get-together once a week, either at the recipient’s home or elsewhere, depending on your preferences. People of different ages, backgrounds, and occupations come together, and the service offers the opportunity to build a meaningful connection with another person.
If you’re interested in having a visiting friend, feel free to contact us via phone at 3833 6400.
If you’re living with mental vulnerability, we recommend contacting visiting friends for the mentally vulnerable.
We currently do not accept English-speaking volunteers for this activity
