GET A EXERCISE BUDDY
Exercise buddies is a program for you who live with mental vulnerability and wish to build a connection with another person through physical activity.
Initially, you’ll have a meeting with a team leader who will tell you more about the program. This is your chance to talk about what you’d like, what you’re interested in, and what you need from an exercise buddy.
You will be paired with a volunteer exercise buddy who can help and support you in getting active. It will always be same exercise buddy that you meet with, giving you plenty of opportunities to get to know each other.
The volunteer exercise buddies are people of all age groups, including students and working individuals. What they share is their willingness, availability, and enthusiasm to get t know a new person.
Together you decide on the type of exercise –it can be anything from a walk, a trip to the gym, or participating in group activities.
